Treatment Overview

Starts after recovery from Consolidation 1, with neutrophils greater than 0.75 x 109/L and platelets greater than 75 x 109/L.

mercaptOPURine:

  • 25 mg/m2 orally ONCE daily is the starting dose, see Additional details for recommended Dose adjustments (for metHOTREXATe and mercaptOPURine) to maintain neutrophils between 0.75 and 1.5 x 109/L and platelets between 75 and 150 x 109/L.
  • Consider thiopurine methyltransferase (TPMT) testing and NUDT15 screening for specific patients.

Oral metHOTREXATe:

  • 5 mg/m2 orally ONCE a week is the starting dose, see Additional details for Dose adjustments (for metHOTREXATe and mercaptOPURine) to maintain neutrophils between 0.75 and 1.5 x 109/L and platelets between 75 and 150 x 109/L.

Intrathecal metHOTREXATe:
